The Curse of The Blarney Stone Part 2 : Inside The Castle

Aiden and Cara make their way to the entrance. Cara ignores the signs that read ‘This way to the Blarney Stone’ and trespasses into a roped off area. Aiden seems extremely muddled... ‘Isn’t the Blarney Stone there?’ asks Aiden pointing at the signs. ‘That’s a fake prop for tourists.’ says Cara rolling her eyes. ‘But you said the legend was real?’ asks Aiden chuckling now thinking that even Cara has realized that this whole thing is not real. ‘Oh no, the legend is definitely real, it’s just not that stone. The real Stone lies farther to the top of the castle.’ says Cara. As she completes her sentence she notices it, Aiden as well.  A large piece of rock jutting out of the wall and along with it a sudden shift in the atmosphere. ‘Come on, help me up’ instructs Cara. Aiden does so helping Cara reach the surface just close enough to kiss it. ‘Alright, steady now, don’t move!’ commands Cara. Aiden stands there thinking what a waste of time this is. ‘Ah! yes I have done it!’ screams Cara...

The Curse Of The Blarney Stone

Image
They say that the stone offers plenty a gifts, others believe it to be a mere tourist trap. Whether the legend is real or not is still unknown but there have been interesting instances that reveal the Curse of the Blarney Stone. Those who have done wrong to the stone face consequences, often deadly... Aiden and Cara make their way to the Blarney Castle, one of Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions. ‘Why exactly are you taking me there?’ asks Aiden. ‘Sham, haven’t ya heard of the gift of gab’ replies Cara, astonished that Aiden doesn’t know about the legend. ‘No, what is the gift of gab?' asks Aiden looking confused. ‘Legend says that whosoever kisses the Blarney Stone on top of the Blarney Castle is gifted with a certain charm that allows the person to sweet talk his way out of any situation. The Stone was placed there by the goddess Clíodhna when the builder of the castle, Cormac MacCarthy requested for her help in the middle of a problem. Goddess Clíodhna instructed Cormac t...

Happy Father's Day

Everyone recognizes and appreciates the jawaan that go out and fight on our borders. But only few recognize and appreciate the jawaan in each household that goes out and fights every single day.  I am talking about the fathers. While everyone talks to about mothers and their love, fathers are not given the spotlight and when fathers are mentioned in media it's usually criticism and hate. Yes, there are abusive parents out there but for each abusive parent there is a genuinely loving parent who would go to any limits for their children.  A lot of the times, fathers aren't acknowledged because of the work that consumes most of their lives. But I believe that the very little moments that we do get to spend time with our dads, makes it even more special because of how rare it is.  The bond of fathers and children is different from that of a mother's. A mother and her child's relationship is very straightforward but a father and child have a telepathic connection, they might...

Suicide, Mental Health and Stereotypes Against Men...

Image
“ Crying does not mean that a person is weak, but it means that the person has a heart. ” With the recent suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, comes a bombardment of fans and actors and people who are talking about mental health and stereotypes against men. When will everybody realize that we must talk about these things everyday not only when a problem arises. While feminism is a topic people come across on a daily basis. Men aren’t asked about their emotions or feelings in fact they are expected to hide them with a mask of masculinity every single day. Men are called ‘weak’ when expressing feelings and are expected to be strong physically, mentally and emotionally all the time.  I want to talk about these situations without shying or straying away from it. We must be open when talking about our difficulties and circumstances. That is how we grow and that is how we bond with those closest to us.  And the answer to all of these issues isn’t committing suicide. Suicide is a ir...

Tales of Crime and Justice : From Fence to Thief Taker General Jonathan Wilde

Image
Charles Hitchens several years ago, had paid £700 to become the Under Marshal of London, the highest rank of law enforcement in London at the time. Charles needed a protégé and so he approached the increasingly popular fence, Jonathan Wilde to work under him as an extortionist and errand boy.  Jonathan continued to work for him but started realizing some of the major flaws of Charles criminal system. For instance, Charles when writing threatening letters, used to sign under his own name. Jonathan began finding Charles methods pathetic and became more and more greedy, wanting the throne of the Under Marshal for himself. Turns out luck was on Jonathan’s side when Charles became involved in an anti-corruption scandal and city officials although not arresting Charles, demanded he take a break from the duties of Under Marshal. This is where Jonathan came in, he would be the acting Under Marshal, running Charles’s gang until he could make his marvelous return.  But as soon as Hitche...

Tales of Crime and Justice : The Origins of Thief Taker General Jonathan Wilde

Image
1720 London, a man has just been robbed in a lone alleyway. He approaches the most famous Thief Taker in town, Jonathan Wilde and asks for his help in catching the criminal. Days later, Jonathan and his agents have found the valuables. They negotiate a price to release the goods and the man pays the robber in an anonymous meet out. Wilde only accepts a small fee in exchange for his services. Ah, what a noble man you think he is, a true giver of justice... but ask around and soon you will hear a different kind of story. One of that every criminal from the pickpockets to the wig stealers has a master. That master being Thief Taker General Jonathan Wilde himself... Between 1680 and 1720, a new wave of crime had hit the streets of London. Capitalism meant an increase in manufactured goods that could easily be stolen and sold again. This very concept is what led to a new era of thievery. On top of that London at the time did not have a professional police force unlike neighboring France whe...

Zadi Part Two : Life is Too Long to Have Grudges...

Image
If you read the previous blog, you probably know about the whole Zadi conflict. I can only explain myself as to be outraged at the time because of the personal attacks but I realized that life is just too short to have grudges. Especially, stupid ones like these. I am actually glad now that there is someone that I can talk to regarding blogs because he is also part of the blogger community ( I know the blogger community is a term not used a lot).  “ Life appears to me too short to be spent in nursing animosity or registering wrongs.”  ― Charlotte    Bronte Sometimes views and numbers really get to our heads but at the end of the day they are just numbers. I want you to know Zadi that when I give you advice, it’s from my own experiences. Do take my advice with a grain of salt and if your gut says differently, always go with your gut. So, Zadi, I am sorry and I want to simply forget this whole conundrum. In fact, I would like to ask you to collaborate with me on upcomi...

This Guy has an Ego Problem : Don’t Insult The People Who Inspired You

Image
So there is this certain person who came out and straight up insulted me right to my face. I don’t want to mention the person’s name because he’s probably too scared. ( his name rhymes with Zadi so we will just call him Zadi for now). So as you all know, I post daily blogs, or at least try to, and Zadi called me out for it and said that you post daily because you copy paste from other articles. Coming from a guy who literally copied my idea of making blogs, I find this statement to be very hilarious. It’s like a person gets arrested for punching someone and when the cops punch him, he scolds the cops themselves about why they shouldn't punch people.  It’s so hypocritical and egotistic to not even acknowledge the people who inspired you to do something and on top of that trying to get those very same people to stop their passions. Zadi was trying to get views and wanted me to start posting weekly instead of daily so that his views would soon overtake mine. Which judging by t...

How Pablo Escobar’s Hippos are still a problem in Colombia

Image
December 1993, The infamous Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar dies in a shootout with the Colombian Law Enforcement. But something of the notorious criminal remains to this day, something no one thought would be both a problem and a tourist spot for Colombia ...  Most of you know the drug lord Pablo Escobar because of the hit gritty - original Netflix series ‘Narcos’. But there is much more to him then just simply drugs. Pablo Escobar was one of the most successful drug kingpins in the world and with all of that drug money he wanted to make a private zoo. So he imported several animals from different countries like giraffes, exotic animals etc. Along with theses animals he brought in four hippos. Hippopotamuses weren’t native to South America, in fact they were imported from Africa, where they are naturally found.  When Pablo Escobar was killed, the government reclaimed Pablo's estate. Giving off the animals to different zoos and sanctuaries. All animals except the h...

Escape From Alcatraz : The Whole Story...

Image
June 1962, three prisoners plan to escape the country’s most toughest, ruthless and brutal prison, Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary . Do they make it? or did they fail like the government says it does?  The story begins in three cells in Alcatraz. Prisoner Frank Morris, a smart man with an IQ said to be 133 (133 on an IQ score means that the person is gifted or extremely advanced, go ahead, google it). Frank hatches a plan along with brothers John and Clarence Anglin to escape Alcatraz, a task never done before. I am not going to bore you with all the details so to sum it up, Frank, John and Clarence break open their cell vents, replace themselves with a head dummy made out of paper, escape from the boiler room, make a raft out of stolen raincoats, flee into the ocean and... Well, that’s pretty much it. The next morning a guard comes into check up on one of them slapping over the head dummy. Realizing what had happened, the guard immediately informs the warden and sirens bla...

What’s China’s Real Plan : Domination of World Trade or Destruction of India?

Image
With the whole pandemic arising, only one question comes to every mind. It’s everywhere, social media, news channels and has made it's way to even casual conversations with friends.  What is China’s Real Plan?   Theories have come up, people are intrigued and everyone wants to know what is China’s next step. Keep in mind this does not imply that they began the pandemic on purpose but it is proven that they had kept it from us for several weeks. What is the truth? Will we ever know? Well in this blog, I intend to do explain to the best of my abilities the plan that China might have hatched.  So let’s begin with something we all have been seeing in the news lately. It’s the China - India military standoff. The conditions are intense and it’s an unpredictable ground. Now to understand this situation better we must first understand the Chinese Debt Trap.  So basically countries that need financial aid but cannot approach The World Bank because they do...
