Youtube v Tiktok : Why was CarryMinati’s Video Deleted?

As you all are aware about Carry’s explosive response to ‘Social Media Influencer’ Amir Siddiqui’s video on Youtubers and the video being deleted by YouTube which might just be considered as the most ironic backstab to Carry. Now, Youtube justifies this on the basis of “cyberbullying” with regards to Carry’s more harsher tone in the video. This justification would have been completely fine if it wasn’t for the fact that some of the most famous videos on YouTube are roasting videos except for music. These videos are extremely popular on the platform and it has been this way for a long time now. So why was Carry’s video deleted?

Well there are a few theories people are coming up with, so let’s dig into some of them shall we?

The first theory is pretty straight forward, It’s that YouTube or at least the people behind the algorithm are racist! this theory is gaining popularity because Carry’s video was gaining a lot of likes really quickly, some people even speculating it could become the most liked non-music video on YouTube. There is some sense behind this theory because when Pewdiepie blatantly insulted India on his video, no consequences were faced whatsoever. Even I believed in this theory until I really started looking into it. You see, YouTube wants drama to unfold within it's walls so that more and more people keep tuning for the drama hence more ad revenue. So why would Youtube delete a video that could have potentially made them millions.

The second theory is that Youtube might be looking to collaborate with Tiktok which could have possibly made them millions. Although, sadly these theories aren’t true either because Google, the owner of Youtube, couldn’t buy Tiktok because ByteDance, the company behind Tiktok wouldn’t give away an app that was doing so incredibly well. And so Google now is planning on buying their rival Firework. Which means that Youtube will not be collaborating with Tiktok anytime soon.

In the end, Why Carry’s video was deleted remains a mystery but in my opinion don’t judge someone based on what they prefer to watch. If a person likes watching content you don’t enjoy, then so be it. That doesn’t make them any less human or you anymore. If we just let everyone be themselves and appreciate them for not trying to be someone they are not, The world would be a better place.
