Amir Siddiqui - Was This His Plan The Whole Time?

Over time, plenty of youtubers have gained through consistency, hard work and picking trending topics to make videos on to maintain viewership. But throughout the existence of Youtube, some creators have found shortcuts to fame and popularity. Obviously, I am talking about controversies. Some youtubers use controversies as a tool to boost their viewership and following when they notice that viewership is going down on their channel. It could be pretty much anything, although a common tactic youtubers use is fake fueds. But one method that has been gaining popularity lately is negative publicity. Take the example of Rebecca Black and her song Friday. Although being one of the most disliked videos on YouTube, it has racked up a whopping 143 million views as of today. And you start to notice, that most disliked videos have a lot more views than some of the general videos. Jake Paul’s music video, It’s Everyday Bro, despite being a terrible song and hated so much, has gained about 266 million views. Keeping up with the theme of negative attention still being attention. Some people on the internet will go out of their way to spread hate to commonly disliked videos but it’s these people who ultimately end up contributing to the video’s views and eventually making the said youtuber behind the video more money. Negative publicity is a very effective method to gain viewership quickly since many youtubers make videos roasting these disliked videos just ending up making it more and more popular. And I think negative publicity is exactly the strategy Amir Siddiqui used. Keep in mind this is only my opinion and it’s just a theory.

You might not believe me right now but ask yourselves this -

Did you know Amir Siddiqui before this whole controversy?

I would assume that most of you didn’t since I didn’t know about him either. But just because I don’t know doesn’t mean it’s invalidated. Ok anyways, with this controversy, Amir has already gained popularity, regardless of it being negative. And why would he tag all of the major youtubers known for roasting on his video, it was like an asking for it, almost as if he knew this would break out as a controversy everyone would want to see unfold. Maybe this was all just a scheme, to make these tiktokers not only known to the Tiktok community but also to the rest of the world. If that was his plan he is definitely succeeding at least until of course Carry’s video was taken down. You see with Carry’s video being taken down, it puts more of the spotlight on Carry then Amir and gradually Amir will start to fade away from the very controversy he created.

What do you guys think, share your thoughts in the comments below on whether you think this was a scheme or not.
