Common Questions Asked to Atheists ( And Answering Them)

Today we shall be looking at some common questions people ask atheists and answering them. There are quite a few of them so for now we will only be looking at the most common ones. Let’s begin shall we?

Q1. Where do you get your morality from if you don’t believe?

Just because I don’t believe doesn’t mean I don’t have morals. It simply means that my morality and ethics isn’t derived from a holy object. As humans, we all have morals and that’s what make us human in the first place.

Q2. You’re life must be so empty?

No, there are plenty of things that are important to us that make up a huge part of our lives. Like family, goals, friends, career etc. Emptiness is when there is no aim in life, that’s when everything seems lost and forgotten.

Q3. What if you’re wrong?

Well it’s fine even if I am wrong. And I don’t think it’s punishable for someone to look for answers themselves and completely understand their own beliefs. This is just a by product of free will and thinking and I don’t think that’s an offense that should be punished.

Q4. Do you worship the Devil then?

No, that’s actually contradicting with the very idea of atheism. We do not believe in anything as of such be it positive or negative. Every one is entitled to their own beliefs and no one should be judged on the basis of belief.

Q5. So is your family also atheist or... ?

Like I said before, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, just because I am atheist doesn’t mean my loved ones are. I respect and appreciate them for who they are and so do they.

Q6. Why are you so angry at belief?

We aren’t angry at belief. I don’t know about other atheists but I am speaking for myself on this, I feel that everyone is allowed to believe in what they want to believe and discrimination on the basis of beliefs is severely wrong and unfair, regardless of whom is judged by whom.

In the end, I would just like to say that our differences shouldn’t divide us but bring us closer together. We can acknowledge and appreciate what makes each one of us unique. All of us might be unlike each other but when an adversity strikes, we all do come together putting aside our differences.

that proves there’s only one race and that is the Human race.
