Common Questions Asked to Atheists ( And Answering Them)

Image
Today we shall be looking at some common questions people ask atheists and answering them. There are quite a few of them so for now we will only be looking at the most common ones. Let’s begin shall we?  Q1. Where do you get your morality from if you don’t believe?  Just because I don’t believe doesn’t mean I don’t have morals. It simply means that my morality and ethics isn’t derived from a holy object. As humans, we all have morals and that’s what make us human in the first place. Q2. You’re life must be so empty?  No, there are plenty of things that are important to us that make up a huge part of our lives. Like family, goals, friends, career etc. Emptiness is when there is no aim in life, that’s when everything seems lost and forgotten. Q3. What if you’re wrong?  Well it’s fine even if I am wrong. And I don’t think it’s punishable for someone to look for answers themselves and completely understand their own beliefs. This is just a by product ...

George Floyd Case : Murderer Arrested

Image
With the protests turning violent, the government has finally been able to press murder charges on Derek Chauvin, the man who choked George Floyd and suspended three other police officers involved in the case. They say there are enough witnesses along with the video from an onlookers phone. This comes after the third day of protests in Minneapolis and Minnesota along with some other parts of the country including the White House. Officials say that George Floyd was ‘the last straw’ as this is not the first time something like this has happened in Minneapolis or Minnesota. The local government says this is by far the fastest they have apprehended a police officer. Hopefully, the protests calm down as it is unhealthy for large crowds to be gathering amidst this pandemic.

Answering Some of the Most Common Questions Feminists (Female Supremacists) Ask

Image
Today, as you can guess by the title, I answer some of the most common questions feminists (female supremacist) ask. I would like to put out there that most of these responses come from a YouTube channel called DrShaym. I am simply adding my opinion to his answers. Let’s begin shall we? Q1. How does it feel to be the same gender as Donald Trump? Ans. So now being the same gender as someone who is widely disagreed with makes you come under the same characteristics. By that logic, I am also the same gender as Albert Einstein or Nelson Mandela but that doesn’t mean I am similar to these great personalities. This just goes to show how much of a hypocrite female supremacists can be, only choosing to look at the bad eggs of the opposite gender. Q2. Why do you automatically dislike tv or movies that star a female lead? Ans. No I don’t, In fact some of my favorite movies and tv have female leads. And even if I do, did you ever stop to think I might not like them because they don’t act...

It Didn’t Ruin Your Childhood!

Image
With the reboots of movies that shaped a huge part of older generation’s childhood comes the growing hatred of the very generation that experienced the originals. You must have obviously seen reboots of popular films gaining backlash and usually not being received that well. Well, I want to know why these movies aren’t appreciated, is it because they are adding to something that is already perfect or twisting the story to something that it wasn’t in the first place. There are so many reasons people can put forth but for now, I shall be focusing on the more known opinions when it comes to remakes. The very first reason that I generally hear is it’s just a scheme to take something that already seems complete and adding unnecessary plots just to make a few bucks. Now, this one I have to agree with. There are reboots made that have nothing to do with the original although some are remade to experience in a new way. Let me give you the example of The Lion King. The live action version wa...

The Whole Netflix Blockbuster Story : What led to Blockbuster’s Downfall?

Image
For those of you who don’t know, Blockbuster was a popular movie and video game rental service company back in the 90’s. Blockbuster was know in almost every American household until 2010. Although they officially closed every operated single store somewhere between 2013 to 2014. There are quite a few factors that resulted in Blockbuster’s demise including some bad decisions on their part. So let’s take a closer look on what led to their downfall, shall we? Before we do that let me just inform you that at it’s peak, Blockbuster had over 9000 stores in the US alone and now, that number has been reduced to one. The last Blockbuster Video store is located in Bend, Oregon and is surprisingly doing well even in this pandemic.   Coming back to why Blockbuster vanished, the main reason of the decline was their resentment against change. There is this little streaming platform I think you know about called Netflix, when Netflix started out back in 1997,  and mind you...

Online Learning : Pros v Cons

Image
With the world struck by a pandemic, new solutions are required on a day to day basis to keep the globe running as normal as possible. And with the rise of innovative answers to present-day problems, comes e-learning also popularly known as online learning. Now, on the surface online learning seems to be solving a lot of issues, resuming education as it should be, providing students a platform to learn like before and most importantly giving students the ability to conveniently manage their time instead of doing all the work hastily. But their is a lot more to online learning than just helping students. In fact, just like when any other new technology or concept is introduced, an ongoing debate has broken out on whether online learning is actually useful or not. There are quite a few pros and cons to look at and so I have made my best efforts to list all the major points below. Pros : - Education is not paused on. Students can continue learning and teachers can continue educatin...

Karachi Plane Crash : What happened?

Image
Yesterday, A commercial flight ended up crashing in a residential area in Karachi. This comes after days of Pakistan announcing that they have decided to resume commercial flights. The crash happened near the Jinnah International Airport, where it was scheduled to land. The plane took off in Lahore with 99 passengers on board ( previously falsely stated as 107 ), aviation experts suggest an engine failure might have been the cause of the crash although investigation is currently ongoing.  In an audio recording aired in local news channels, the pilot can be heard speaking to the tower, expressing that one of the engines had stopped working shortly before the crash. Out of the 99 passengers on board, only one has survived. So far two deaths have been confirmed on ground with more casualties being reported by local hospitals as the hours go by.  My condolences to everyone who was effected by this gruesome tragedy and my appreciation to those working to help the people ef...

Cyclone Amphan : The Current Situation

Image
Cyclone Amphan as of today, hit West Bengal, Odisha and Bangladesh. Destroying buildings, bridges and pretty much everything in it’s path.  So far 12 deaths have been reported and officials say there are way more to come, my condolences to the people effected by this fatal calamity. Cyclone Amphan is Bay of Bengal’s fiercest cyclone this decade, bringing with it winds with speeds up to 120mph. It hit Kolkata’s shores on May 20th. West Bengal’s biggest city the morning after, was left run down to the ground. Locals saying it was the worst storm they had ever experienced. A massive portion of the city is currently submerged, including the airport, of which the pictures you must have seen by now. Residents living in higher floors reported windows and doors being blown and taken away by the strong winds. Bangladesh reporting much worse damage as of such, roofs being blown, buildings completely collapsing etc.  Up until now, the evacuation measures have helped people great...

Beasts of No Nation - Quarantine Movie Reviews

Image
One day, during quarantine, I felt like watching a movie so I went to Netflix, searched some films up, you know the process and then I come across this movie called Beasts of No Nation. Now let me tell you, Beasts of No Nation is this masterpiece of a movie that follows a young boy named Agu, and his horrifying journey from a mischievous kid to a rebel child soldier. Directed by Cary Joji Fukanaga, this movie isn’t afraid of showing you the frightening circumstances of war and poverty. This movie teaches us to be grateful for what we have because some people will never experience such luxuries in their lives, although being a fictional movie, you and me both know well that these situations do take place in real life in some nations. This film really captures the mindset of Agu, you can really sense his transformation from a boy to a soldier, from goofy and cheerful to ruthless. But we haven’t even spoken about my most favorite character of the movie and perhaps my most favorite charac...

Amir Siddiqui - Was This His Plan The Whole Time?

Image
Over time, plenty of youtubers have gained through consistency, hard work and picking trending topics to make videos on to maintain viewership. But throughout the existence of Youtube, some creators have found shortcuts to fame and popularity. Obviously, I am talking about controversies. Some youtubers use controversies as a tool to boost their viewership and following when they notice that viewership is going down on their channel. It could be pretty much anything, although a common tactic youtubers use is fake fueds. But one method that has been gaining popularity lately is negative publicity. Take the example of Rebecca Black and her song Friday. Although being one of the most disliked videos on YouTube, it has racked up a whopping 143 million views as of today. And you start to notice, that most disliked videos have a lot more views than some of the general videos. Jake Paul’s music video, It’s Everyday Bro, despite being a terrible song and hated so much, has gained about 266 mil...

Why Was Carry’s Video Deleted? : Part 2

Image
With Carry’s new video out on Instagram, where he can be seen on the verge of tears requesting people to not present assumptions as facts referring to a few activists who have viewed the video as an attack on the LGBT community in India and other activists having responded. Now please do note that I completely agree that these activists do have a right to respond and to express their opinions through social media. But it is unfair to convey your opinion as a ‘fact’. You see because people react entirely different to an opinion and a fact. People believe in facts and when opinions are stated as facts, it can lead to disaster. Like Carry said in his video, please do understand the entire context when making an assumption. I do understand that humor can be seen as insensitive to some people but do remind yourselves that humor is subjective and it is not used to make any political statements. A few people have made the effort to try to “decipher” and find the true meanings behind ...

Youtube v Tiktok : Why was CarryMinati’s Video Deleted?

Image
As you all are aware about Carry’s explosive response to ‘Social Media Influencer’ Amir Siddiqui’s video on Youtubers and the video being deleted by YouTube which might just be considered as the most ironic backstab to Carry. Now, Youtube justifies this on the basis of “cyberbullying” with regards to Carry’s more harsher tone in the video. This justification would have been completely fine if it wasn’t for the fact that some of the most famous videos on YouTube are roasting videos except for music. These videos are extremely popular on the platform and it has been this way for a long time now. So why was Carry’s video deleted? Well there are a few theories people are coming up with, so let’s dig into some of them shall we? The first theory is pretty straight forward, It’s that YouTube or at least the people behind the algorithm are racist! this theory is gaining popularity because Carry’s video was gaining a lot of likes really quickly, some people even speculating it could become...

Coronavirus: A Extremely Planned Scheme or An Unforeseen Pandemic?

Image
With the rising levels of cases and deaths being reported all around the world. Only one question comes to mind: How did this disease originate? A question troubling scientists and virologists alike, not to mention the rest of the world. With the outspread of the virus increasing, a few theories have gained popularity as well as steady belief. Let’s dig in to some of them, shall we? The first theory which has been blatantly debunked is that the virus was man - made and served as a new forefront in chemical biowarfare. The assumption was that the war of the future will not be done with weapons and soldiers but with hazardous pathogens and viruses that could effect the foe and damage on a massive scale. This would be an effective method of warfare if you think about it because the country dealing the damage would face no casualties. China is a global powerhouse and is competing with the US and Russia among other countries and what country is currently facing the highest reported c...

Why Golden Retrievers are the Best Dogs Ever!

Image
Let me start off by saying that all dogs are loving and entertaining but there is one majestical dog that I think might just be the most adorable of them all. By the title, you obviously know who I am talking about. Yes, it is the Golden Retriever. Golden retrievers are the type of dogs that make you wonder what humans did to deserve dogs in the first place. They are just one of the sweetest, kindest and most loving beings out there. Trust me you have never felt true joy until you have petted a Golden retriever. The need they have for everyone to be their friends is just so endearing. On a side note, I just wanted to address the opinion of some people on some breeds of dogs being more naturally aggressive than others. This is in fact not true at all, it’s all about the training, time and the effort you put in to your dog. With enough physical and mental training, every dog can become a ‘good boy’.

SARS - Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome

Image
SARS or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome is a disease that belongs to the very same family of the coronavirus. Much like COVID-19, it had a pandemic of it’s own in 2003. Around 8000 cases being reported worldwide and a 774 total death toll. But SARS is not as deadly as the coronavirus due to a couple of factors including: - It couldn’t survive on surfaces for as long as the coronavirus. - It faded away from the body eventually. - People with a good respiratory system were not effected as much. SARS originated in Foshan, China in a wet market where a host carrying the disease must have been either touched or consumed by a human then further transmitting it into the population. When the first patient with SARS ended up in a hospital. The doctors thought it was pneumonia because both the symptoms seemed similar. But when the treatment for pneumonia did not heal the patient, the doctors reported it as ‘atypical pneumonia’ and only after around 18-20 deaths were reported wa...

Introduction to Coronavirus

Image
Now with this whole Coronavirus situation going on, you must be wanting to know more about well the beginning of this virus and such without reading on how ours through various different sources and so I have decided to solve this problem by making blogs giving you the information all under one roof saving you the effort and time (well let’s be honest, you don’t really care about time anymore but at least I skim some of it so you can go back to watching Netflix). So well first of all, what is the Coronavirus? The scientific name being Sars-Cov-2. The coronavirus belongs to a family of viruses that have a spike-like structure.

Zoonotic viruses

Image
Zoonotic viruses are viruses that have been produced by two different viruses or the same viruses in two different hosts. In 1918, Somewhere in a farm in Kansas, a infected bird and an infected human allegedly came in contact with the same pig. The human and the bird had different types of flu which couldn’t effect the other species. But pigs were susceptible too both these diseases and eventually both the viruses combined in a pig cell and a zoonotic virus was born. This virus spread like wildfire similar to the pandemic we have today and has been believed to have killed around 5% of the entire population, it was also claimed that at the time one in every three suffered from the disease. Although these cannot be backed well since medical records weren’t well kept at the time.
